After retiring from cricket, Imran Khan entered politics and founded the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) partn 1996. He has been a prominent figure in Pakistani politics for several decades and has advocated for social justice, anti-corruption measures, and good governance. Imran Khan's political career reached its peak when his party won the most seats in the National Assembly of Pakistan in the general elections held in July 2018. As a result, he became the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan and assumed office on August 18, 2018.
